Posted by tiffanyshay23 on March 27, 2007

Jobster.com announced in a press release that it will team up with Facebook.com to become its only job search partner. Inside facebook, a careeer center was launched on March 1, 2007. There are only a limited number of sponsorship packages available to companies and may expand in coming months.

In the site, users can post as many job opportunities and resumes as they want. Users can also post their availability, which was designed to be optimized for search engines.

Facebook:
Is the #1 site among men and women age 17-25

Is the #7 most visited site on the Internet

Has 19 million unique visitors per month

Has 1 million new registrants per month

Has nearly 90% share of college audience

With these figures, the teaming up of Jobster.com and Facebook was huge. To join this group, simply type in Career Center into the search engine in Facebook. Join Career Center: meet your future and the rest is up to you.

Do you think this is a good idea? It just seems that facebook might turn into a job market website instead of an online community like it was designed for. What do you think?
